Digital marketing for roofing, HVAC, plumbing, and restoration companies Talk to us: (888) 552-5453

Twelve posts a month that nothing cites is not a strategy.

Content only earns its keep two ways. It ranks for something a customer actually searches, or it gets quoted when an assistant answers a question about your trade. Volume produces neither, and most content programmes are sold on volume because it is the easiest thing to invoice.

What actually goes wrong with content.

It answers the wrong step
A page explaining what a heat pump is will not book an install. The customer ready to buy is asking something two steps later, and that is the page almost nobody writes
It is measured on output
Posts published is a production metric. Whether anything ranked, was cited, or produced a call is the actual question and it usually goes unasked
It is written without structure
An assistant quotes content it can parse. Unstructured prose with no clear answer near the question is skipped in favour of a competitor who formatted it properly
It is disconnected from the money
Content sits in its own report while the booked jobs sit in another, so nobody can say what any of it returned

Which page on your site has produced the most work in the last year?

If the answer is not immediately obvious, the content is not being measured against anything that pays. Once it is, most programmes turn out to be carried by three or four pages, which changes what should be written next.

If that is the picture, here is what we run.

What the work produces, for one sample company. Content earns its place when an assistant cites it, and that is the test every piece is written against.

One idea, three formats. The page earns the citation, the guide earns the email address, the video earns the follow. All three are written for the same question a homeowner asks.

What we run.

01

Questions your customers actually ask

Drawn from your call recordings and search behaviour rather than from a keyword tool alone, because the two rarely agree.

02

Service and location pages first

The pages closest to the money get built before anything else. Articles support them rather than substituting for them.

03

Structured to be quoted

Clear question, clear answer, schema where it applies. This is what decides whether an assistant can use the page.

04

Measured against calls, not posts

Every piece reported inside ajileReports against the work it contributed to.

How this gets bought.

Content is quoted inside SEO and generative search rather than as its own retainer, because content produced without the structural work underneath it is a publishing schedule rather than a channel. If somebody has sold you content as a standalone line item and you cannot name what it returned, that is why.

Questions owners ask about content

How often should a home services company publish content?

Less often than most agencies sell. Four well-built pages that rank and get cited outperform forty that do neither, and they cost less to produce.

Does content marketing actually produce calls?

The right content does, because it reaches somebody at the point they are deciding rather than at the point they are curious. Content aimed at the curious stage produces traffic and very little else.

What content gets quoted in AI answers?

Content with a clear question, a direct answer near it, and structured data supporting it. Long unstructured prose is usually skipped for a competitor who formatted the same information properly.

Who writes it?

Our team. We do not send it out and put our logo on it.

How long before content produces anything?

Six to twelve months to compound, which is why it is quoted with search rather than sold as a fast channel.

Take the guess work out of where your revenue is coming from.

Random acts of marketing don't produce revenue that is sustainable, get your report that shows:

  • What this channel is producing for you today
  • How that compares to the companies ahead of you
  • Whether this is your first fix or your third
  • What it would take, and how long before it shows
